Nicholas has spent over seven years in the financial advice industry, developing tailored strategies to help clients achieve their goals.

After identifying the limitations of traditional advice models, he founded ID Advice to provide high-quality, transparent, and affordable financial advice, all delivered without the unnecessary complexity or embedded conflicts of interest.

Eli Pollak

Associate GradDipFinPlan

Eli brings extensive knowledge in many aspects of personal finance. He assists Nicholas in formulating strategies and financial plans for ID Advice clients.

Eli is also the founder and sole contributor to Passive Investing Australia, one of Australia’s most referenced personal finance resources. Eli has helped thousands of readers better understand investing and their own finances. 

He joined ID Advice to apply this expertise more directly in client advice and strategy development.

At our firm, we believe in serving individuals from all walks of life, regardless of their income level or the size of their assets. We take pride in our inclusive approach, where we’ve assisted clients across a wide spectrum of financial circumstances. We maintain a diverse and comprehensive knowledge base to address various financial scenarios effectively.

Whether you have a million dollars or ten thousand dollars, we can help. We firmly oppose the notion of turning individuals away based on their financial status. Similarly, we do not believe in charging higher fees simply because a client has more assets. Our focus is on providing valuable guidance and support to all, irrespective of their financial situation.

Sometimes. In some circumstances we may be able to deduct a portion of our costs from your super fund. This will depend on your personal circumstances and the fund you are with.

We first start with a no-obligation call that can be scheduled here. In this call, we will ascertain the general scope of our engagement and give you a chance to ask questions about us and our process.

The next step is to book an initial consultation meeting. Upon booking, you’ll promptly receive an email containing a link to a brief questionnaire. This questionnaire serves as an opportunity for you to outline the topics you wish to discuss during the meeting, and to provide pertinent details that will enable us to facilitate a productive conversation.

At the end of the meeting, you will be provided with a firm quote for our services alongside the areas of your finances that will be covered throughout our engagement.

We will help you plan for the future, protect the now and maximise your financial opportunities. We do this in a manner that does not rely on invested assets or ongoing management fees.

Following our initial financial planning engagement, we offer ongoing services and regular reviews. We will periodically be in touch to see if you would like to review your situation or if there’s been a major life change. Contact us at any time with any financial questions you may have.

Our difference to the rest of the industry is that we do not charge any form of ongoing fee contracts. So you’re free to choose the level of ongoing service you feel you need.

Any future work is billed in 15 minute increments at our current hourly rate.

Maybe. We will always prioritise making changes to your existing super fund rather than moving you elsewhere. However, in some cases we may decide that your current fund simply isn’t appropriate, and we will recommend an alternative option.

Unlike other financial advice firms, we do not get you to pay us on an ongoing basis. This means we don’t need to convince you to move to a platform that allows us to charge such fees.

Much like our philosophy around financial advice, we prioritise simplicity and lowering fees. A simpler structure inspires more confidence and the lower the investment costs, the more money can be used to generate returns for you.

We tend to facilitate index fund-based portfolios for our clients as historically these have outperformed their actively managed counterparts. However, we are willing to work with you and your own personal values to put together a portfolio that suits you best.
